I text a phone number of a friend who does not have text+ but when I send, the name Lucas comes up which isn’t my friends name. Is it possible that phone numbers within txt+ can be the sameas a number of someone who doesn’t have txt+?

I was texting my friend using Textplus an it was going well. But I read the SMS notification wrong and verified the code to my friends Cell number but now I can’t get their text message they send to me. I want to undo that so I can text my friend and they can text back like before. Help!! Thank you

so i got a free update for textplus on my ipod touch 4 and then when i opened the free textplus app it asked me 4 my username and password. i knew my username so i typed that in but i forgot my password. so i clicked the i forgot my password link at the bottom of that screen. then it said to put in your username or textplus number to get a new password. i put in my username and clicked the button at the bottom of that screen saying send me a new password. almost immediatly i got an alert that said success your new password has been sent to u. my problem is that i cant find where it sent my new password to! its not in any notifications or anyting!! PLEASE HELP ME!!!

how do i know who is texting me from textplus??? on our bill it just comes up as a number and when i call it it tells me to text the message number. i really need help with this…… thanks for any info you could provide.

TextPlus pulls your contacts stored within your device. Any changes and updates that are done within your device’s contacts list should take immediate effect in your textPlus application. You will want to assign a phone number to your contact in your address book before launching textPlus.

iOS
In order to have a regular phone user’s name appear in textPlus instead of just their number:
1. Select a conversation you have with a phone user
2. Tap the grey default picture next to one of their messages
3. Select “Add to Contacts”
4. Select “Create New Contact”
5. Enter their name in the name fields (and tap the “add photo” button to give them a picture)
6. Hit done, and then hit done again
7. Go back to the conversation and now you will see their name instead of their number

Android
If you would like a name to appear, save the regular phone number or textPlus phone number as a contact in your device’s address book with a corresponding name, and then that name will be displayed in place of the number in textPlus.

No the TextPlus app does not show up on your phone bill nor do any of the numbers that you text in textPlus. Once you have downloaded the app (free or paid) it will show up in your iTunes summary just like every app that you get from iTunes.

If you are in Canada and a number is not currently available for your area, just choose a number from a neighboring area. There are no long distance messaging surcharges for texting between numbers from different regions of Canada (see your carrier for details), so if numbers aren’t available for your town it’s not a problem – just pick another town.

I downloaded the newer version of text plus today. And i live in canada. they ran out of phone numbers where i live, So now i cant text. What can i do?
